Hi everybody! If, like me, you've been wondering to yourself, "I wonder what Ben has been doing with all his downtime during the current global pandemic," well now I have an answer for you! I've made a Christmas album! It's called Merry BCF-ing Christmas, and it features a venerable who's who of Twin Cities talent (over 40 artists!!), playing all your favorite holiday tunes, and even a few you might not know! It's been an absolute joy to work on a project of this nature during such a strange, anxious time, and I'm really proud of what we created. And now, you can hear it! The album is currently available for purchase on Bandcamp, and will be released on all your other favorite platforms (and even a few not-so-favorite platforms) next Friday, December 11. My Christmas gift to y'all! Happy Holidays, and stay safe!

Hey guys! Welcome to my website! For those of you who don’t know me – I’m Ben! I’m a Twin Cities-based singer, songwriter, drummer, keyboardist and part-time Godzilla enthusiast. I perform out a lot, be it in service of my own music, or supporting other fine folk around town. In short, you’ve probably seen me, you might not know my name, and now you do! You can click on the links above to get all the fascinating details about what I’m currently up to.
Happy New Year everyone! Let's start off 2020 right with a series of shows at my favorite bar in NE Minneapolis, shall we? I'm playing every Wednesday this month at the fabled Dusty's, bringing along various members of the BCF Band and some of my favorite artists in town, including Mother Banjo, Becky Kapell, Martin Devaney, Jillian Rae and Amanda Standalone! Plus, we'll be joined each week by some other special guests. Come celebrate the new year, and the coldest month around (usually) with some dagos, good beer and great tunes!
Hello there! It's been a little while! Terribly sorry for the absence, I'd say there's a myriad of reasons, but really it's because I'm a dad now. I know, I know, "Awwwww" and all that mushy stuff. (Tell you the truth, it really is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, and I've been privy to some great things.)
But that's neither here nor there! Of current importance is this - I'm releasing a new album on November 22! Or, rather, a sort-of-new album. It's called "The Iowa Years," and it's a collection of songs I wrote and recorded while I was still living in (you guessed it) Iowa, circa 2001 - 2004. As my wife calls it, this is "proto-BCF." Anyway, I'm releasing it on cassette, with a fun little party at The Warming House. Doug Collins is opening, and I've put together a fun combo for the night, which includes my dear friend and Iowa-era collaborator, Justin Baumgartner. It's going to be a lot of fun!
You can get your tickets HERE! Admission is $10, and includes a copy of the cassette. And don't worry, it'll also be available on all the regular streaming/mp3 services. Hope to see you there!
Happy November everyone! This Thursday, November 15 I'll be curating another of my semi-annual "Ben Cook-Feltz And... Friends?" events, this time at the marvelous Hook & Ladder Theater! This is our most ambitious one yet, three hours of music featuring a whole slew of awesome musicians, including Ben Miller, Nikki & Rich Rue, Maya Elena, Jon Rodine, Niki Beverly. M French, Becky Kapell, Mother Banjo, Haley Rydell, Jillian Rae, Art Vandalay, Dougs Collins and Otto, Brent Fuqua, Caiti Allison and more! Plus two different incarnations of the BCF Band. Best part? ALL proceeds are being donated to the Hook & Ladder, in celebration of Give To The Max Day! It's going to be a lot of fun. You can find more info, and links for tickets/donations, HERE: http://thehookmpls.com/event/cookfeltz-n-friends/
Hope to see you at the show!
Hey guys! We made a new record! It's called BCF, and I'm quite proud of it. The goal was to recreate the atmosphere of a regular BCF rock show - so to that end, we recorded as much of it live as we could, and I gathered a whole bunch of my musical friends to join in on the fun! (Including but not limited to Doug Otto, Joe Olsen, Sarah Morris, Mother Banjo, Jillian Rae, Caiti Allison and Doc.) It was a lot of fun to make, and my only hope is it's a lot of fun to listen to! You can find the album on my Music page, or all the other regular streaming/purchasing services. Enjoy!
